Beck
Company Management Personnel
Robert
G. Beck - President
After a successful career with the Equitable Life Assurance Society,
and in management for sixteen years, in 1970 Mr. Beck built Beck Company’s
first budget hotel property in Chesapeake, Virginia. Over the years Beck
Company has constructed ten hotel properties and has purchased three.
Beck Company has partnered with a local Savings & Loan Association
in three properties all of which were eventually sold for significant
profits.
As
the President of Beck Company, Mr. Beck is actively
involved in creating and defining the vision for the
company. He continues to seek opportunities that will
provide growth and prosperity for the company and which
offer additional fertile ground for hotel projects.
Over
the years, Mr. Beck as had the opportunity to serve
on many different local and Governor appointed Executive
Boards and committees.

Kimberly
L. Christner - CEO and Director of Operations
Mrs.
Christner started with Beck Company in May of 1993. As CEO
and Director of Operations, she is responsible for the overseeing
all of the daily financial operations of the company. Utilizing
her strength in sales, leadership and profitability she is
responsible
for ensuring the financial health of the Beck Company owned
and managed properties. By developing key staff members;
providing structure and leadership to the hotel management
teams; and evaluating over all operations of each hotel,
it is her responsibility to set the path for the financial
growth and viability of each property. As CEO, Ms. Christner
is responsible for creating and implementing a strategic
plan which will guide the company and provide a strong foundation
for continued growth, prosperity and longevity
Mrs. Christner earned her Business Administration Degree from St. Leo University and her General Manager Certification from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell. She is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Oyster Point and Rotarian of the Year recipient; Co-Founder and current President of the Newport News Hospitality Association; recipient of the Newport News Tourism Professional of the Year award; past board member of the Greater Williamsburg YMCA; serves on the City of Newport News Tourism Advisory Board; serves on the Conference Center Marketing Committee for the City of Newport News; and serves on the Executive Board of the Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association as Treasurer.

Krista
D. Carpenter- Vice President of Administration
Mrs. Carpenter is a graduate of the College of William and Mary with
a Masters and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. She has
worked for Beck Company since 1995 and oversees the areas of corporate
administration and finance. Previously, she worked
for Newport News Savings & Loan Association as Assistant Vice President
of Credit Administration, coordinating a $50 million hotel loan portfolio.
Prior to that, she worked for John Yancey Management, Inc. as Director
of Hotel Administration.

Sharon
C. Petroski – Corporate Director of Sales and
Marketing
Mrs.
Petroski joined Beck Company in March of 1997 and has been
in hospitality industry for more than 18 years. As Corporate
Director of Sales and Marketing for Beck Company, Mrs.
Petroski is responsible for the development and execution
of sales and marketing efforts for the company’s
owned and managed properties. Mrs. Petroski uses her background
and experience to ensure placement of the Hotels in their
market for maximum revenue growth and coordinates the marketing
strategy with the regional sales offices in Newport News
and Harrisonburg.
Her
career includes experience in Reservations, Front Office,
and Sales having worked for both limited service and
full-service hotel brands. Mrs. Petroski received her
Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth
University School of Mass Communications.

Constance
L. Briddell - Treasurer and Controller
Mrs. Briddell has been employed by Beck Company for over twenty-eight
years in the accounting department. She is responsible for all areas
of accounting, cash flow management, financial statement preparation,
corporate audits and regulatory reporting related to accounting. |
